COVID-19 Neighborhood Message

Dear Forest Park Neighbors,

Update on the Pool: A huge thank you to everyone for bearing with us during this unprecedented year at the pool. We know it was difficult for everyone to made adjustments to the new rules and expectations. We are happy we got to open the pool for the majority of the summer, and are grateful for your understanding and the hard work from the lifeguards as well, maintaining a clean and safe environment.

During these stressful times, we want to encourage everyone to reach out in these uncertain times.

If you are healthy and able, check in on your neighbors whom you know have a compromised immune system, or are at risk.  Ask if you can run some errands or help with anything.  Anything we can do to keep people out of harm’s way will benefit us all.

If you are an at-risk neighbor who needs some help, please reach out and ask.  You can contact the board via our email address below and we’ll do our best to find someone who can help. If you just feel like you need information on closures, status, etc, please email the board and we will do our best to get you that information.

Ours is a wonderful community and we will all be much better off if we work together.

Nate Christensen

Nate has been a Forest Park resident since the fall of 2016. He and his wife, Angela, have twin boys who are 11 years old. Nate is a computer engineer for Lockheed Martin and enjoys spending time at the pool and working on projects around the house in his free time.

Sarah North

Sarah has lived in Forest Park since 2014 with her husband (Mike), their 4-year-old and 1-year-old boys, and their Golden Retriever and cat. Sarah works as an instructional designer at CU Denver. You can find Sarah and her family walking to the park, at the pool, or exploring local breweries.

Amy Stivers

Amy Stivers has lived in Forest Park since 2006 with her husband Paul, daughter Madeline (age 13), and son Donovan (age 11). During the school year, she works as a school psychologist at Highlands Ranch High School. She’s always looking for an adventure and enjoys her summers off to be able to travel with the family. Amy enjoys spending time with friends in the outdoors camping, hiking, watching the kids play sports, skiing and snowboarding, listening to live music, and of course swimming at the Forest Park pool. The Stivers just love the small-town feel of Forest Park and savor all of the neighborhood social events because it’s always fun to hang out with your neighbors.

Neal Carter

Neal and his wife Sarah frequented the pool and parties in Forest Park long before they moved here, thanks to great family and friends in the neighborhood. When they were expecting their third child, they (mainly Sarah) decided that they had outgrown their previous home, and Forest Park was a natural target for an upgrade. In 2013, they found a house and made an offer before it even hit the market. In their spare time, the Carters enjoy spending time in the mountains, in movie theaters, and at the pool. Neal joined the board in 2018 as a way to serve Forest Park and help keep the soul, charm, and friendliness of the neighborhood intact.
