4th of July Independence Day Celebrations!

PATRIOTIC HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST, June 29th - July 4th

Let’s make Forest Park look red, white & blue just in time for the holiday! Residents, you are encouraged to show your patriotic pride by decorating the outside of your home between June 29-July 4. The street with the highest percentage of homes decorated will win bragging rights in the community! Winning Street will receive an Ice Cream Social Street event and will be announced on Sunday, July 4th at the Pool Party.

Contest Rules:

  • Homes must be decorated on the front side of the home facing the street (porches, garages, etc)

  • Homes will be considered “decorated” as long as they have more than two pieces of decoration (ex. one wreath or one flag will not suffice)

A community drive will be completed on Saturday, July 3rd. All homes must be decorated by that date to be counted in the street total.

KICKBALL Tournament, July 3rd at 4pm

For 4th of July this year, the Social Committee is putting together a kickball tournament to be held on Saturday, July 3rd at 4 PM. We are going to host this event at the park right above the pool. We will play as long as everyone wants to, but we will have a ladder to track teams depending on how many people we have wanting to play. It is our hope that each street can put together a team for this friendly neighborhood bragging rights event. All ages welcome for some good fun.
