The Court Is Open — Here's How to Get Access & Join the Ladder League

The Court is Open
Hi neighbors,
Remember that tennis court behind the pool — the one with the cracks you could lose a golf ball in and a net that hadn't worked since the Obama administration? Yeah, that one.
It's fixed. It's actually great now. And it's not just a tennis court anymore — you can book the space as a Full Court (tennis), North Court (basketball), or South Court (badminton), whichever you're in the mood for.
This didn't happen on its own. Board members and volunteers put in real sweat equity — surface prep, resurfacing, hardware, hauling equipment on volunteer work days — to turn a deteriorating slab of asphalt into a court worth playing on. It's a community amenity in the truest sense: paid for and physically built by the people who live here. The very least the rest of us can do is show up and put it to use.
One step before your access turns on
The court will soon run on keyless entry (Paxton app or keycard) with security cameras, and because there's real liability involved any time people are out there swinging rackets and paddles, every household needs to complete a short waiver/agreement form before we activate access. It takes about two minutes.
Once we receive your form, we'll turn on Paxton access for your household. If you already have the Paxton app from the pool, this uses the same credential — no second app to install.
The rules, in brief
The full rules are linked below, but here's what actually matters day to day:
Hours: 8:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., 365 days a year.
Access: Paxton app or keycard only. Don't share your access with non-residents — guests are welcome, but only in the company of a resident.
Reservations: Book at forestparkcentennial.com/tennis. Each player can hold up to 3 reservation slots at a time. If you're not on the court within 10 minutes of your reserved start, it opens up to drop-in play.
Drop-in play: First-come, first-served when nothing's reserved. Capped at 60 minutes solo / 90 minutes for groups if others are waiting.
Keep it clean and in one piece: No smoking, vaping, glass, or food on the court. No animals. No bikes, skateboards, or wheeled toys. Don't dunk or hang on the basketball hoop. Don't shovel snow off the surface — it damages it. Sweep debris before/after you play, and return shared equipment to the shed.
Lock up: Close and lock the gate when you leave.
Introducing: the first-ever Forest Park Tennis Ladder League
Here's the pitch: sign up, get matched against fellow residents, climb the ladder (or don't — we won't judge, much), and enjoy a genuinely nice court that a bunch of your neighbors spent a lot of weekends rebuilding by hand.
Who can play? Literally anyone in the neighborhood. Beginner, rusty, "I played in college and peaked in 2003," doesn't matter. All skill levels welcome — encouraged, even. This isn't Wimbledon. It's a ladder league in Centennial, Colorado. Bring your competitive spirit or bring your sense of humor. Ideally both.
Grab a racquet, rope in a neighbor, and let's make some noise out there (the good kind — the thwock-thwock kind, not the HOA-complaint kind).
